ipod directory is suddenly blank; winamp shows it as intact; help?

So I format, and send over that exact thousand files again, and interestingly enough, it works. This would seem to point away from it being any specific song file that would be causing it.

I'm going to work on the assumption that there are too many files or too much information being stored in the DB for now, so my current workaround is to transfer my songs rated 3 and above. Seems to be working (approx 2400 songs)

I had approx. 2800 songs on my iPod when they disappeared. I've gone back to iTunes (yech!) because I don't want to have to redo all my playlists everytime ml_iPod crashes my iPod. I'm still waiting for even a mere recognition from 'the powers that be' on here that this is a real issue and is being looked into.... It seems that you are the only one doing anything about it. I'm glad you have the time to work on it. I, unfortunatly, am too busy right now to deal with it.
