Help me find two features

Hi everybody,

I have being using Winamp not too long so pls help me:

1. How to upgrade version 5.07 full to the latest 5.093. The installation program doesn't have upgrade mode and it seems to be the setup from the scratch.

2. How to keep separate user settings including a play list. Now all windows users share the same setings.

Thanks.

1. There is no "upgrade mode". However, you can install Winamp 5 over previous versions of Winamp 2 or 5.

2. Winamp does not (did not) have multi-user support. It is in the Wishlist...

That means all my current settings won't be changed?

Are you kidding guys?! It's version number 5! Usually multi-user support is included into ver. 1.5 or 2... OK hope you'll add it as soon as possible.

@miksh

If you overinstall 5.093 onto 5.07, none of your settings will be changed. Just make sure you install Full onto Full or Lite onto Lite, because it does screw up things if you install Lite onto Full (ML disappears, etc).

RE Multi-user...

The information in the first temp workaround link is your best bet to have multi-user support, and as that is available, I don't see the devs implementing it for a long time (but that is just my opinion).

Multiple installs. Install winamp into your documents folder and put a shortcut to that instance of winamp on you desktop.
