Playlist editor error
In the playlist editor window, ever since winamp version 5 was released there is always blank space near the bottom, resulting in an incompletely filled scroll box (even when resized) - which also creates the error that when scrolling through the playlist using the mouse wheel some songs are skipped, and you have to hand scroll through to see the 2 or 3 song chunks that are skipped.
Please fix the gap at the bottom of the playlist editor so that it works properly like in version 2.x - thanks. |

There is no gap at the bottom of the playlist if you use a classic skin (ie. like 2.x).
The issue is only with modern skins, and is possibly related to font adjustment. Also note that we can't reproduce the "which also creates the error that when scrolling through the playlist using the mouse wheel some songs are skipped..." issue. |

Well, I'm using the stock modern skin supplied with WinAmp and since its the default one it's only natural to assume it should work properly, right?
I can post screen shots of the scrolling issue if you like, but maybe that one is just me. Thanks |

@Antioch
RE your scrolling issue: if you are using Windows XP, try downloading Tweak UI. Once it is downloaded and installed, head to Start > (All) Programs > Powertoys for Windows XP > TweakUI. Go to the Mouse > Wheel setting, and there is a "Scroll by X lines at a time," where X is an integer. Try reducing the number listed to help eliminate some of the "skipping" that occurs. If you are not using Windows XP, there is an alternate version of TweakUI here. See if this helps, jmat |

And as previously stated, the gap doesn't occur with classic skins. The issue with the gap at the end of the playlist with Modern skins is known. However, because all the original dev team (except for Tag) are no longer with us, there is currently no dev on the team who is currently familiar enough with wasabi/gen_ff.dll to fix it (Wasabi was Brennan, Francis, Aus and Mig's area; Justin and Christophe did just about everything else - but alas, they are now all gone). Maybe in time, one of the new team will fathom it out, but we do not class it to be a major top priority issue at the moment :/ |
