Every time I try to connect, I get the message "connection error." Now, I am not certain if this has anything to do with IP or port or password.
Nothing I have read seems to clarify this for me. What I would like to know is the following: What is the correct IP for me to broadcast on Shoutcast? Is the 8000 port default appropriate, and if not, how do I find out what other port I can use on my machine? Is there another technical issue I need to repair (and what would it be?) in order to broadcast? Please help me out! Thanks! |

port issues
port 8000 is usually not taken and is good to broadcast on. run netstat from the commmand line - it'll tell you which ports are taken. (works on nt and win2k - not sure about other .9x windows versions.) have you tried connecting to more then one site - you might just be hitting a bad link
![]() good luck! |

Netstat also works on Windows 98.
