My server doesn't work... Why not?
I'm trying to run a little radio station on my computer, so I got the server and the winamp plug-in and configured it fine. I set the PortBase to 6881, a port that I am sure is opened on my firewall.
When I connect, the server console shows this: <07/28/05@02:26:32> [source] connected from 192.168.0.101 <07/28/05@02:26:32> [source] icy-name:Unnamed Station ; icy-genre:Rock <07/28/05@02:26:32> [source] icy-pub:1 ; icy-br:24 ; icy-url:http://www.shoutcast.com <07/28/05@02:26:32> [source] icy-irc: ; icy-icq: ; icy-aim: <07/28/05@02:29:37> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak) <07/28/05@02:29:37> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: <MY IP ADDRESS>:6881) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)) Now obviously thats because of my restrictive firewall. But my port is set to 6881 and that port is open..... at least I think it is because I use it on bit torrent. Any ideas why this isnt working? Any special things I need set on my firewall? Port forwarding or something? |
