i dont know if this is in the right section but...
ive been looking for a plugin for winamp to allow it to play quicktime, and ram files..

ive downloaded tara and powerplayer and didnt like them...
are there any alternatives??

- QuickTime MOV and Shockwave Flash SWF support

Use Nullsoft in_qt.dll for MOV

For RA/RM, you can try the DirectShow method mentioned in the sticky, but if that fails then the only alternative is to use a 3rd-party plugin like Tara.

Hey I was wondering if you where going to add Quicktime and/or Realplayer formats to Winamp..it'll be nice to just have one media player that plays all formats instead of having to install a bunch of different ones just to play a format the one player doesn't support..right now I have like 4 media players,WiMP 9, Winamp v5.094,Real & quicktime Alternative Media Player Classic.

Both Apple and Real are very protected of their formats. Don't expect them to be nativly supported in Winamp, ever.

Ty for the quick reply.Why not ? That sucks how come Quicktime & Real Alternative can use them , but Winamp can't?

Real Alternaive and Quicktime Alternative are less then legal.

To do this, simply install real alternative, the install the gabest real media splitter, then add the file types to the directshow decoder plugin file type listing in the winamp preferences. BAM. Enjoy
