Winamp Licensing!
Quick question regarding licensing and usage rights.
If we have winamp installed on some company machines but winamp is only used for the individuals personal use and nothing company related does the free winamp license cover this or do we need to pay for winamp to continue usage in the company? Cheers Guys, Mark |

Winamp is freeware, and the only reason you have to pay for it is if you want to use the extended ripping and burning features.

Actually, I found it ... you may need to fill out the distribution agreement linked at the bottom of the page, but it doesn't appear you will have to pay anything to anyone, as it states clearly:
Can I distribute the Winamp player? Yes, you can distribute the free version of Winamp on your website or cd-rom. For all distribution requests, fill out our distribution agreement form. Agreement form is here: http://www.winamp.com/community/promote/distribution/ If anyone cares to clarify, feel free. Hope this helps, jmat |
