Older Winamp versions

Hi all,

I see Winamp has fallen to just another media player in the pack in its latest versions.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find download links to older Winamp's from this official web page?

I want a player that simply just plays, without pre-editing my play list with junk, and 50 free song crap installed with it, also, without the report annonymous usage feature implented into it.

Winamp version 1+.x would be what I'm after according to my memory from the 90's.

Dude, LOOK AT WHAT YOUR INSTALLING.

You can un-check anything you don't want with Winamp. Even the '50 free song crap'. And the report annonymous usage feature can be disabled, once installed.

Older versions are not supported, and have many, many bugs, and security lapses, that have been fixed in current versions.

It is there in the first place.
I take it Winamp has become Degeneramp.
I will no longer use Winamp then.

Winamp in my books is now added under, Winzip, Divx, ICQ, Half-Life, which all go under the line - once great programs...

Dude, it's there, because some people use it. If you really can't take that, then go ahead, don't use it. But you're losing a great program.

seriously tho, no one is forcing you to upgrade or use it, etc. if you don't like then don't use it but then don't berate it when people make valid comments about not installing unwanted features and the likes. a few options removed and you get the equivalent of a 2.x lite install but what would i know when i've spent well over 2 and a half years of developing for something which leads you to understand the workings of the player pretty well...
