Whenever I open WinAmp 2.666 or higher in Win2K, the program immediately pops up a box saying, "This program has caused a general protection error and will be shut down immediately." The playlist never even finished loaded all the info from the songs before this error occurs. I'm on a P3 700 w/ 128Mb RAM, so I know that system resources can't be the issue. Thanks.

Try opening winamp through the exe itslef not trying to open a playlist or file, because winamp could be causing a problem because it is accessing a protected/forbidden/damaged file.
Or try reinstalling it, make sure no other audio programs are running, if that fails, see if another audio program will work like windows media player (with w2k). If that also causes the same/similar error then it is most likely a sound card driver problem. |

Thanks guys. I wiped all 3rd party plugins, and opened the program from the desktop shortcut, then loaded the playlist after it opened, and everything worked. Just to make sure, I closed it and opened it again with that playlist already set, and it worked fine again. I have no idea what was causing it before, but thanks again.
