What is your default player for MPEG / MPG video files?
Is it Winamp, Windows Media Player, or something else?

Older versions of Windows (NT / 95) came with Windows Media Player 1 (aka: Netshow Player) as the default player for video files such as MPG / MPEG / MOV / AVI / etc.
This would be located @ "C:\Windows\Mplayer.exe" (or whatever the WinNT equivalent is)
It would play WAV & MID & other audio filetypes directly itself, but used ActiveMovie to play and stream video files. The command line for Movie Clip (in Folder Options -> File Types) was something along the lines of:
C:\Windows\Rundll32.exe amovie.ocx,RunDll /play /close %1

This is the only connection I can think of regarding the RunDll32 error.

However, if you upgrade to WMP6.4 or above, you can go to:
"View -> Options -> Formats tab" and place a checkmark next to MPEG Video.
This will make WMP6.4 the default player & the command line in Folder Options -> FileTypes becomes:
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe" /Play "%L"
MIME type = video/mpeg

When you upgrade, the rundll32 command (as above) becomes the default backup in the Registry.

I honestly can't see how Winamp could be causing this error, unless you've installed a video plugin & have made Winamp your default MPEG player?
If so, I suggest you delete the plugin & make WMP your default again.

Or maybe you've uninstalled Winamp & this has restored the default backup (ActiveMovie)?
In which case, you should make WMP6.4 your default player by following the instructions above.

By the way, have you considered getting sp6 for WinNT?

Sorry, I'm not too familiar with WinNT, but I hope this info has helped you.
If you have any trouble understanding any of this, then I suggest you visit the World Domination forum where you can post & (hopefully) receive replies in your native language. Or link to this post & get someone to translate it for you.
