New Media Library .. Well .. Angry

Hey there !
I am a little angry to the "Winamp-MediaLibrary-Creators" in Version 5.1
In my older Version I was bugged every startup with a message:

UPDATE NOW TO .. blabla !!! MORE !!! FREE !!! BETTER !!! -no
... AND I DID ! BUT NOW ?

I loved opening my Media Gallery, clicking on : WINAMP MEDIA
and watched about 10000 Music Videos sorted by Genre and so on.
But after Updating to 5.1 .. it´s only full of Advertisements and other spam that I really dont want to see.
ALL THE VIDEOS ARE GONE. AND THE MUSIC STREAMS WENT TO NIRVANA TOO.

And PLEASE !!! .. dont tell me to activate them in my preferences ... the only options I have are the following:

AOL Radio with XM
AOL Video
Shoutcast Radio
Shoutcast TV
Winamp Music

BUT NOT MY VIDEOS AND MUSIC STREAMS I WAS USED 2 HRS. AGO

So .. PLEASE !!! Anybody tell me how to watch my AOL (or whereever they came from) Videos NOT by using the menu on winamp.com but by using the MediaLibrary.

And please help me not to change my opinion (THAT WAS REALLY POSITIVE TO WINAMP) to a negative one and to think that my beloved Winamp has just mutated to an Advertisement-Instrument of the Music Industry.

And what happened to the USER-FRIENDLY "intuitive" Look&Feel of your Products ?

Thank you very much for you answers !

Winamp.Com videos in the ML is still there. You just may need to toggle a setting. Before that, have you tried closing and restarting Winamp? If that that does not work...
1. Winamp > Ctrl+P
2. General Presences > Media Library
3. Online Media tab > Modify Preferences button
4. checkmark 'Look for Online Media Channels on exit' > OK button
5. close out of prefs > close & restart Winamp
If it is already check-marked, try unchecking it > close and restart Winamp > checkmark it again > close & restart Winamp

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

Addendum, As for the Advertisements...

I do agree that the adverts are annoying. The AOL Radio/Video and Winamp Music/Video stuff is free media content provided by Nullsoft's parent company AOL. Because it is provided without cost, AOL should have some way to "make up" for it.

I wish that I could think of a better word. It is a "sacrifice" that many of us are will to put up with in exchange for enjoying free media content.

Thank you for your replies

Thank everybody for your replies.

I was so angry, that i just got out my old WinampInstaller out an I am using the older version now.

Well, of course I know, that free Media Contents have to be "paid" with ads, but not with advertisements as large as the Video I am looking at and "Some FREE MP3-DOWNLOAD LINKS" in my Taskbar.

Okay. I hope you can enjoy Winamp in the newer Version, until the next Version I will keep on with my older one.

Bye

Hello. In other radio (and AOL too) I can't find the stations that I used to listen to in previous versions. Specifically "DIGITALLY IMPORTED" stations. What's even worse, I can't (or don't know how) to search for genre there. How do I do that? I can't find any space/old school electronic stations

Thank You!

All the DI streams are still there c/o
Media Library > Online Media > SHOUTcast Radio

Although most DI streams are in the top 300,
you can increase the amount of streams to fetch via:
Winamp > Prefs > Media Library > Online Media tab > Modify Preferences
eg. mine's currently set to 6000

The genre drop-down menu is still as/where it was, in the top right corner.

Apart from all that, I haven't really got a clue what you mean, heh :/
