prob with Wa not opening

hi all

ive got a slight error with winampwhen i click thw winamp desktop icon winamp tries to open but wont i can see a shadow of where it wants to be just nothing happens then it disapires not even a blip on the taskbar..

i managed to fix it yesterday by roling back windows nothing has changed about my system cince yesterday and still it wont open + i cant close it from taskmanager and if i try to open it again i just get several winamps in task manager and i cant end the prosseseseess lol as you can imagine its anoying i cant even uninstall and re install it becouse it gets stuck on the registering screen i thought id leave it for a while 2HOURS i waited and it was still regestering

i have

win xp home

p4 3.6g
512mb ram
160gig of free space

never had any probs b4

what do you mean you cant end winamp.exe process from task manager? (the process not the application)

here is the instructions for full uninstall/reinstall

and i would post a hijackthis log as an attachment, maybe someone could look at it for you... read

you've gotta edit your "from" line in your profile, its breaking the frames.
