How much for the package of one dozen wild trolls?

People make money to post in forums?

http://www.forumlaunch.com/

Quote:
Your posting packages talk about "writers", who are they?

Our writers are the people who post in your forum after you have purchased a package. Purchasing a package with many writers or purchasing extra writers would greatly benefit you if you want many views and opinions on the topics or if you want your message board to look more populated.

How do you select which writers will post on my forum?

We have a screening process which ensures that the most qualified individuals will be selected. This means that we only select writers who are very familiar with the topics in your forum. Many of our writers are banned members from the Winamp forums!
I had to edit a little into it

I'm glad they're cultivating the most qualified trolls. There's nothing worse than an untrained, unqualified troll.

I always thought the "Cancel" button on that dialog box should instead read "OK, I'll stop". "Cancel" sounds like a way to bypass the dialog.

If you need to pay people to post in your forums, obviously they aren't forums worth going to.

  • I wasn't hacking on your business.
  • You ARE getting free advertisement and added hits on Google (how do you think I ended up there and why?)
  • I'll delete this thread if you like

If I delete it, I'll have to cancel my account with your service

What is everybody's problem? I don't get what the issue is. If the person who runs a new forum wants to make it grow so they pay some writers so that when potential new members look at it they don't say "wow, what a dead empty forum" who does it hurt? It's a completely different concept from paying people to advertise your web site (or "free ipod" scheme) on other forums. I guess I'm just not seeing what the fuss is about.
It may be kinda lame that somebody has so few members at the start that they need to hire some, but that's a completely different issue from what you guys seem to be ridiculing.

It IS a good idea.
I'm more than likely going to borrow posters from this and another forum when I open mine up soon.

In all fairness:

Quote:
"Not too long ago I put together a website with various boards, one of them was a PC and console forum which started with 0 posts and 0 threads. We could use a little boost and ForumLaunch provided this. I was informed which usernames would be posting and for how long. These members delivered on time and with constructive discussion fitting our content. The grammar was good and search engines picked up the new traffic. That boost led to new members and more new discusstions - Exactly what we needed!" Thank you ForumLaunch, a unique service that I will surely use again."
It's affordable and I might be able to use it to my advantage in my upcoming political campaign

I'll probably write you in . I was so disgusted one year, I voted for Ross Perot. I wouldn't have done it if I thought he could have won

I was disappointed when Perot stopped running for president. I was hoping he'd become a permanent fixture in every presidential election until he died.

You mean Ross and the General haven't gone on a commando raid in Angola yet?.

Yes, I think that hand grenade with a haircut, is still with us.
