fn key on keyboard not working (they used to work)
hey,
I've searched the forum but didn't find a helpful answer. I used to be able to control winamp with the fn key on my keyboard in combination with one of the function keys (eg. fn + F12 will skip to the next song). Now I have reinstalled windows and winamp, but I can't seem to get it working again. I remember I had that problem when I bought my laptop 2 years ago, but I really can't remember what I did to solve it. I have the newest keyboard drivers and winamp5. Any suggestions? It's driving me mad not to be able to do this anymore....

Global hotkeys in Winamp?
Fn keys are generally controlled on a BIOS level. Is there some keyboard configuration software that came w/ your laptop or plugin you found? powered by C₈H₁₀N₄O₂ |

did you have that as a global hotkey (preferences > global hotkeys) check the box to turn them on, then you can configure it however you like.

it doesn't work with the global hotkeys because winamp doesn't recognize the function key
When I now hit the fn + F9 key (used to be play/pause a song) - it does want to interact, but not with winamp, it says no cd inserted... |
