or you can just wait for 5.11 for native support (there's no eta on it though!)

Okay, I can be patient. The problem is two of my kids who share a computer. I got them using WinAmp and convinced it was better than iTunes and WMP. Then they ran into the multi user flaw and insisted that I take WinAmp off their computer. I tried one of the work arounds and did not quite get it right. I'll try to put them off for now, maybe with a white lie about the release date.
When this version of WinAmp is released, I'll bet there will be a mad rush on the download site! |

Installation was ok
well,
finally i installed winamp in a directory (under "\") where "users" have permissions to do everything (execute, read, write). winamp seems to work fine right there, see you thread |

And this worked so that when different users open WinAmp they each have their own settings and ML? I must be doing something wrong trying to follow instructions in the other threads.
Oh well, I guess I may just have to wait for the next release to have it work properly. Problem is that may be 6 days or 6 months, no one is hinting, and the kids are not very patient! |

If you can't work out how to use the multi-user plugin, then just install Winamp once, then copy the Winamp folder to each individual user's folder (eg. C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Winamp), then create a relevant shortcut to each respective winamp.exe in their start menu / on their desktop.
