Help with subtitling problems

I was wondering if there were any programs out there that will let me play an .avi file with an .ssa subtitle file in Winamp, and if not in winamp, then just in general?

there are tons of program that can do that.. but winamp is not one of them

also WMP (i recomend v6.4 'mplayer2')should be able to display them as long as you have a subtitle filter installed, such as 'vsfilter' http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ckage_id=84359 (manual installation only, "regsvr32 vsfilter.dll")

also, keep in mind that the subtitle filename must be the same as the avi for it to be loaded automatically
