Music playing but program not on the taskbar?

Is it possible at all to have winamp playing my music and NOT have it open on my taskbar? But maybe just in the tray? I'm mostly asking this because I always have a lot of things open and often it gets in the way.

Preferences (CTRL-P) > General Preferences > uncheck Show Winamp in: Taskbar
