I finally found something to enable CDs with winamp.
Windows media player worked fine, winamp played
other media fine, just no CD sound.

Went through all the suggestions in TSGH, but didn't
work.

Check my CD-ROM propertied under Win2k device manager,
and found an unchecked checkbox, "Enable digital CD audio
for this CD player". Checked it, and bingo, CD sound.

None of the other suggestions worked. I am running
in_cdreader.dll. Haven't gone back and checked whether
in_cdda.dll would work on not.

Weyhey, however this has definitely been mentioned on numerous occasions b4.
Surely it's in at least one of the threads in TSGH -> Useful Links

Sometimes, other people have had to uncheck this option to get any sound.

Anyway, I'm glad it worked for ya. Good ol' CDReader, eh!
