irritating fade between songs.

so im having this problem with winamp where about 20 seconds or so before the end of the song, a new song starts up, and the previous song keeps playing until its over. i need to know how to get rid of it.

Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Output > double-click DirectSound output > tab Fading
select 'on end of song'
uncheck 'Enabled'

And then the same for the other events for which you want to disable fading (i.e. 'on start', 'on seek', etc.).

If you are using the modern skin, you can control the 'on end of song' fade via the EQ/Config drawer: screenshot

If that isn't the problem...
Did you install any 3rd-party plugins?
