media library annoyance

ok, i want to know if anyone has made a plug-in or something to fix this. but you know how when you search for a song in media library, then click on it to play? well, it makes the playlist narow down to only that song and repeat it over and over. normally, whe you clicked on a song in the playlist it would play it then continue on random or repeat. well, in order to get my media playlist to play through all the songs again i have to click "local media-->audio" for it to re-display all my songs, then pick one from that list.

you probably have no clue what im talking about lol...but it bothers me. cant media library behave like playlist? sheesh.

Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Media Library > tab Library Options > 'Play all search results (start with selected) on double click in media views'

if you search for a song, double click it then hit the next button, it wont go back to playing all your songs, it only plays the one you searched for. what if i want to listen to a specific song in my list then go back to it being on random?

Well, I mostly use the Jump to File dialog (press J/F3 while main window or playlist editor is in focus) to play a specific song in my list, which works pretty well I find.

I'm not aware of a plugin that does what you're describing. Maybe you'll like an Enqueue&Play option in the 'Send to' context menu, but I don't think you can change the double-click behaviour...

For Enqueue&Play, you can install ActiveWinamp (a scripting plugin with an Enqueue&Play script included). Enqueue&Play will add the selected song(s) to the playlist editor and play it/them (instead of erasing the playlist and playing).
