Can this be done?
I have a bunch of songs set up in folders like this
/songs/Song1/s1.mp3 /songs/Song2/s2.mp3 /songs/Song3/s3.mp3 /songs/Crazy/czy.mp3 when i create a playlist i just select use the /songs directory and it imports all the mp3 files just like i want it to. However it does load the abreviated names for the .mp3 files... is there anyway i can run through a playlist in one shot and rename all those files to the folder that preceedes them? Winamp shows this playlist s1 s2 s3 czy Can I make it go through to display Song1 Song2 Song3 Crazy (aka the folder name that preceeds the mp3) Thanks in advance! |

Don't think it's possible. The only thing I can think of is displaying the entire filename => Preferences>Title>Advanced Formatting>type "%filename%" without the quotes.
Maybe someone will know better. |

You could try messing around with the guessing methods of the Media Library:
Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Media Library > tab Watch Folders > click 'Configure' button If you select 'Simple' (when 'Any' metadata is missing), you can use %album% to display the folder name. However, that will only work if the album field of the id3-tag is empty. Note that if your files are in the ML database, you will have to clear the database and reimport your files to apply a different guessing method. |
