3d Cards and Visualization

Simple question, does Winamp/AVS know how to use my 3d card? If not, how do I get it to? I can't imagine that it is using the card if I am getting such low framerates.

I don't think AVS bothers with 3D cards. I just got a great new card and it doesn't perform much better than the old crappy one. I can't use AVS at full screen, I can some other plugins though.
