Streaming Windows Media Video Files

Hi

I am using Win Amp version 5.094 and have navigated to a page where there are some *streaming* video files in the WMV format. The whole POINT of them is that they buffer a little and then play immediately without the viewer having to download the file.

They are supposed to automatically engage Windows Media Player.

However, WinAmp wants to claim the file forcing me to either "SAVE" or "CANCEL" a download of the file. It doesn't want to STREAM the media.

I have tried going to My Computer --> View --> Folder Options and associating WMV files with Windows Media Player - but this has not altered how WinAmp behaves.

SHOULD it be able to stream the file ?

Is this a problem that everyone using WinAmp will encounter ?
