Well,
First off all the files have to be bitmaps, And should be converted to index mode to reduce file size. When you've got all your files done they need to be zipped up by winzip or some other zipping program. When zipping make sure you have your zip utility in maxium compression mode. Once zipped the file extention needs to be changed to .wsz
(winamp skin zip) This from Jayn in the technical support skins forum. To change your skin from .zip to .wsz just right click on the skin.zip, select Rename, and change it from .zip to .wsz. If you end up with a skin named "Skin.wsz.zip", you need to go into Windows Explorer, click on View, then click on the Folder Options, then click on the View tab. Remove the check next to where it says "Hide file extensions for known file types". Click Ok. Then go back to your skin and right click to rename it to skin.wsz. This fellow Known as THEMike also posted in that forum and says he has created a program to automatically change a zip to a wsz. Heres the link he put up. ftp://ftp.skinmaster.co.uk/pub/other...sz-install.exe If you need more info I suggest you check out the techical support skins forum. There's alot of these type of questions there. |
