Just a thougth - why not have discussion forums or chat linked to individual streams, so people listening to the same thing can communicate to each other?

bigger radios have their own web sites (not based on the
shoutcast's poor generated html). for example digital
imported - http://www.digitalimported.com has their own irc server
and listeners can communicate.

Our site has the same thing. You can even requests songs right from the IRC chat channel. We use the program SAM to accomplish this.
