Winamp 5 Crackling, I tried all the help topics!
Ok, I browsed the forums and tried alot of fixes...it doesnt work!
I get crackling in alot of sounds, not like super loud...just a background crackle, exactly liek when you play a record. I thought maybe it was my computer, but I played the same songs in WMP and I dont get any crackling system specs: AMD 3000+ 2.0Ghz Athlon 64 K8V SE Deluxe ASUS Mobo 1 gig corsair ram 1 5000 RPM 40 gig hdd 1 7200 RPM 160 gig hdd Windows XP Home 380 watt PSU Geforce FX 5200 128mb OC Video card on board SoundMAX Digital Audio Almost forgot, my speakers are the Logitech X530 5.1 Surround system Last edited by Grindking; 23rd October 2005 at 16:54. |

I was getting the same problem a complete uninstall and a reinstall has cured the problem
so far |

I'd suggest that you turn off all your DSP/Effect plugins and try again.
I had a similar problem with AAC files and figured out that the Enhancer DSP doesn't work with it. |

ok, i reinstalled and its fine! no more static......I installed the standard package, not the full....so i didnt install some output plugin or something......but now I have one other problem....when I change the song it makes this noise right before i switch, just like a little beep, gets very annoying
any ideas? |
