Music thorugh all speakers?
Ok, let me clarify something, i am NOT asking for surround sound......I play a song in WMP, and the sound comes out both my front speakers and my rears.
I play the same song in Winamp, and it only comes out my fronts....I am running the standard install, not the full how do I make the music come through all my speakers? |

Grindking, you have (or had) the problem as I.
(1)Can hear Music out of all spkrs using WMP (2)Can hear Music out of only 2 spks using Winamp. It's a speaker "Set-Up" issue. You probably have an On-board Sound Card (but the same issue can happen using any board or card). I solved mine by going to the mixer and chosing several ways the speakers can be set-up. Try different set-ups, and when u hear nothing move the audio jacks to any other jack while playing an mp3 or wav. ""Cards tend to SHARE jacks"", and the markings in the Mixer output aren't neccessarily the same as shown vs the card. coy It's a trial and error method -- so use pencil & paper to write down the positions chosen. |
