Now when people try to tune in, they get the following error, 10061 cannot connect, i have open ports 8000 and 8001 on my router, and i have made my ip static, when i try to use yport 80, it looks for the wrong ip and gets the nak error. http://www.shoutcast.com/directory/index.phtml Any help much appreciated, Jon |

well that explains a whole lot, you give others an ip that only is real on your network
this ip is given out by your router. www.whatismyip.com or www.mijnip.nl and try again. |

depends if your isp is giving out a static ip or a dynamic ip .
in case of a dynamic ip get yourself a static re-direct at www.no-ip.com for free ( do read carefully before making a free account) good luck [edit] seems that the servers that handle the traffic on these forums are out of line which results in my answer before your question while i posted it after you asked [/edit] |
