Not Connected, help needed

Hi guys,
its cool to see how the shoutcast works.. I've installed on my Gentoo server and working locally from winXP, my friend is NOT able to connect to the server to run the radio himself using that shoutcast plugin for winamp.

Address: 192.168.0.10 (locally works)
but it doesn't work when there is server ip: 212.xxx.xxx.xxx, port is 9000, all set correctly, is there something that I shd do in shoutcast configuration on the server side?

could someone give me a hand on this one?

thanks in advance..

any errors in the server logs?

have you opened the ports 9000- 9001 on the firewall/router?

thanks for the quick reply, I have opened 9000 port only using D-Link.. not 9001, the shoutcast server uses 9000 port only, do I need to open 9001 too?

no it's not in the manual to setup shoutcast, but if you take a look at this forum you see 4 sticky threads on top of the forum and Portforwarding your router isn't exactly a shoutcast setup/shoutcast problem issue

Each Thursday a new show on Celtica Radio with Darkwave music.

ok.. sure I know that by default it requires ONE port, but not TWO... and not many will understand automatically like one for listeners and the other for DJ... I thought maybe it's on the docs, maybe i've missed it..

anyway, thanks
