I have some good ideas, but I am not so good in programming, so maybe anybody realize it?
1. DSP plugin for removing clicks/pops when listen scratched CD or corrupted mp3 files. 2. Can anyone write input plugin for decoding mp3 files based on Appolo decoder (known as the best for low bitrates)? In my opinion its a good idea to use this decoder for low bitrates (up to 192 kbps), and for 224-320 kbps use native in_mp3.dll based on Fraunhofer decoder (I mean auto-off function on high bitrates and redirecting this file to native in_mp3.dll decoder). Appolo homepage - http://appolo.audiogalaxy.com 3. Maybe you'll find this idea crazy, but... We have plugin for control Winamp with joystick. Its really useful when I lie on my bed and listen to music. I have no need to move my body to computer to change volume, pause music, change song number... Yes. So why we have not plugin for control Winamp with mouse buttons??? All users have mouses, but not all have joysticks! Two mouse buttons is enough to increase/decrease volume and number of current song (single- and double clicks). Using some exotic combinations (triple clicks, click on both buttons together...) we have fully functional remote contol (pause/play, stop, shut down computer...). And dont forget about different schemes for mouses with 3 buttons and netscroll function! The best way is to allow user to create his own schemes of control. Write to me if you have any ideas/qestioms about it. (voffka2@chat.ru) And sorry for my bad English, I'm just a simple russian student! |

1. A plug-in like that sounds good, but taking those things out (or trying to minimize them) still sounds bad (I hate when songs have even slight skips, or they go slightly off beat), and you just have to either redownload the song or re-rip it. There's no way around that kind of thing. (Speaking of which, does anyone have Toni Braxton's "He Wasn't Man Enough"? At about 3:37, it skips (heck, it skips on the radio)... is it just me?
2. I don't nkow too much about the Apollo decoder, but I'll stick with MAD and Fraunhofer. 3. Having all those functions done to a mouse, I don't know. I think there are more functions on Winamp than a mouse can really handle if you're talking about being able to control it entirely through button clicks and stuff. Besides, I like the way my mouse functions on Winamp now As for joysticks, well, that's weird but sounds like something worth a shot.
