Hey, I just started trying to make a skin today and the help files and stuff kinda spun me in a big circle. All the skin making programs people showed me cost like $30 to. Does anyone know of a shareware one that works or a way I could make a skin without one without to much trouble?
Any help would really be appreciated, thanks.

just download the trial version of Paint Shop Pro from http://www.jasc.com Get the base skin, open it in psp, and work from there. If you want to make a decent skin then the skinning programs that you were looking for aren't worth considering, you're better off using a decent paint program instead. It is possible to crack the trial version so that the time limit doesn't run out. Of course, I'v only heard this, because I'd never do a thing like that myself

Good luck with your skin!

Like my photography? Buy some here....

If you're looking for a free graphics program, there's also a program called Gimp you might want to try.
