Burning errors

I have currently been using the 5.0 version of the winamp. there was a message to up date to the 5.1 version of the winamp so i did the up date on my computer. i have the windows xp on my computer if that makes any difference. i thought that i did everything as i did before. well now i can still rip them to the media library but it will not let me burn them. everytime that i try to burn them a message pops up and says that winamp has encountered an error and will close. i have even tried to uninstall winamp and then reinstall it again to see if that corrects the problem and it does not. can someone please help me to correct the problem so that i can continue to use my winamp thanks you very much.

I'd just like to add that ever since I upgraded to v5.111 I have also had this problem...it used to work fine up until that time. Tried using system restore to remove the changes and all that did was royally screw up stuff...plus it still gave me the same error, so I unrestored it. Anyone else have these issues or know what to do to fix them? I really don't like resorting to WMP to burn my cd's...

Edit: I just installed v5.1 overtop v5.111 and it's burning fine again.

Please confirm whether you've got the Winamp EQ on at the time, and whether it still crashes if you turn the EQ off. Same goes for any DSP/Effects plugins.

Works when EQ is disabled.

I was having the burning error as well. When I turned off EQ it worked.

Thanks!

Yup. The bug is already fixed for the next Winamp release, coming soon (it was meant to be 5.12 next, but there'll be an interim 5.112 before that with this bug fixed).

ok i have tried to take the eq off and it did work to burn the music. but it still burns it at a slow pace. is there a way that i can get the new verision and still be able to rip and burn at the speed that was intended for the new new verision.
