Transfers slow to a crawl and crash Winamp

New problem: I think this problem began after my last ipod updater update.

When I transfer a group of files, say about 20, they start transfering quickly, but then as the last 2-3 songs start transferring, mlipod slows to a crawl and never finishes. Pressing abort crashes winamp and freezes my mini, forcing me to reboot with hold/menu+select. Of course the transferred music is not found, although a search for lost tracks turns it up.

The weirdest part is that some of the transferred tracks are corrupted. They are "collages" of random bits of songs in my library that I wasn't even transfering to the ipod...

Transfering one by one I dont' get this problem. But really...

I'm using Winamp 5.111 mlipod 1.3 and a 4g mini.
