Today's note-worthy car(s) sightings

We need a thread here for car enthusiasts to babble aimlessly about cool cars they saw out in their day...So here we go...

http://ford140i4.50megs.com/cgi-bin/...0GTS%20(1).jpg
http://ford140i4.50megs.com/cgi-bin/...0GTS%20(2).jpg

I saw a 2nd-gen Viper GTS at a gas station on my way to get an allergy shot! It was red with silver stripes...I had to pull over and take a picture of it; Even had to tell the driver he left his gas lid open (As seen in the first picture )...

Someone somewhere like California may say "Ehh, Viper; I see 10 Diablos a day here", but a Viper's alot to behold here in Louisville...And no matter how much of a Ford fan I am, I was originally a Mopar man because of the Viper...

Hmm, judging by the winshield sticker I see, they either are on a test drive or possibly just bought the car.

Edit: Fixed minor typo.

The guy could've also worked at a dealership...After the gas station, I trailed him down a road for a half-mile until he turned onto Shelbyville Road and into a Mercedes/Dodge dealership lot...

Bastard...I wanna work at a Dodge dealership and fill up Vipers too...

This morning I went to college for a while and I saw an Aston Martin DB9 parked on my university's street, along with 2 Porsche Carrera 4S, 2 or 3 Boxsters, a Carrera Turbo, loads of Range Rover Vogues, a few yuppie vehicles, e.g. BMW X5 and Mercedes ML500; also a Maserati, a Bentley Continental GT and a black Ferrari (355 I think) with Irish plates.

It's not uncommon to see Lamborghinis and Ferraris about, and I don't really bat an eyelid at Porsches, whereas in Peru a Porsche will attract stares from everyone; I think I've only seen one or two EVER in Peru.

The wealth in London is mind-boggling sometimes.

I hate everyone, so you don't have to.

Hmm... a couple weeks back we had a guy pull in to the gas station I work at with--I think--a mid-80s model Ferrari, bright red with black trim. Sucker had a V10 in it; I bet that thing would blow the doors off anything on the road. Beautiful car, really.

That's the kind of car you don't see around -here- very often; on the other hand, Porches are a dime a dozen in this area.

I have seen a guy cruising around town in a DeLorean a couple of times, though...

The neighbor bought this just to irritate the rest of us .

As far as fast, you might have some trouble keeping up. It's got a built 390 in it and it runs great.

I saw one of those yesterday...Only difference is that it was painted in a single color...

Just needs a crudely built wooden 2x4 spoiler, and a coffee can tailpipe.

a year ago I saw a Lamborghini Murcielago parked on the corner of Stockton and Sutter in San Francisco. probably the most expensive non-limousine vehicle I've ever seen in real life

Saw a flat-black C1 Corvette driving around earlier today...Hood was missing and a big-ass V8 with a blower on top was sticking out...

You never see those...

Now THIS is a car I want to see. And own.

And this is the leaderboard on laptimes from the ever-popular Top Gear show.

0-60 in 2.88-2.94 seconds.

I saw a white 2004-ish chevy impala catch up with a silver 2005-6 mustang cobra this morning -

I think the blue and red flashing lights on top of the impala helped it catch up...

Saw a '96 Corvette Grand Sport not too long ago on the highway...

Those things are badass...

I always thought of GS as being a Buick thing - a step-up engine and an extra inch on the wheel diameter...

What upgrades do a Corvette get when being tagged "Grand Sport"?

There are no real upgrades...The Grand Sport monkier was just a special edition in 1996 as a tip-off to the original 1963 Corvette Grand Sport...Aside from special badging and emblems, it was painted in Admiral Blue with a white center stripe, had black five spoke wheels, and two red hash marks on the hood above the driver's side front wheel...

It's only a paint job, but a C4 Corvette never looked so good, and the LT4 engine in 1996 Corvettes are badass on top of that...

List of notable cars I've seen

1 Ariel Atom (Somebody owns one in Plymouth)
3 Jaguar E Coupes (Though one was a series 3, the bastard lovechild of a Jag E and a Rover P4)
1 Lambrogini Diablo
1 RR Cornise
4 RR Silver Clouds
1 Chevrolet Tahoe (Or the Giggle Mobile as I've come to call it, everybody starts laughing when they see it take a corner *Wallow* )
1 80's Chevrolet Camero (Fugly)
1 Jaguar VII
3 Morgan V twin 3 wheelers
2 Lincoln Town Eagles
1 Hummer 2 (stuck in trafic)
1 Chrysler 300C (Being used as a Cab)

I think thats all I can remember off the top of my head, I'ed have to check my notebook for more.

Although it's rather common to see a new model Chrysler 300 as a taxi, it would kik ass to see a "C" as a taxi, since the "C" model has the bigass hemi V8 engine (345 horsepower I think).
