Recognizing Burner

Just download 5.112. Winapm won't recognize my burner. Click on "burn" receive "no burners found". Devices shows my burner but not listed as CD-R. What's up. Should I just do a system restore and go back to old version of winamp that worked fine by the way?

I am having the same problem. This is very frustrating as I was using Winamp for 90% of my music burning since it was kicking butt on anything Roxio could do

I finally gave up. Just did a system restore. Now using the older version everything works fine again. Don't think I'll try downloading the new version until the problem gets fixed. Boo to winamp for allowing this to happen and not offering a remedy.

Unfortunatly I am running Win 98 SE and don`t have that option. Otherwise I would do the same thing. Hopfully Winamp will correct this problem.

Has there been either patch made for this? I bought Winamp for just this reason and it is not picking up my burner.

Does anyone know another way to contact a moderator or "Techie"? I'm having the same no burner problem as y'all. I've been following this thread thinking that one of the Winamp Gurus might weigh in, but nothing from the home office yet. Have we not done something right?

You mean to say that there have been this many with this problem and still no help? I bought winamp for burning my playlists. When I click on burn... the texts reads "(no burners found)" Anyone else have any ideas on finding a techie?

Current version isn't 5.112 any more, people. So why not take your registration code and try 5.12? As seen in the version history, there are fixes in the out_disk plugin, so the problem might already be fixed.

out_disk is the Diskwriter Output plugin and has nothing to do with burning.
The files associated with burning are gen_ml.dll (media library), in_cdda.dll (cd input plugin), and all of the Sonic Engine files (Component List > Audio File Support > #10).
