inherited permissions on xp

Hi folks,

I've created a quite simple install package. During installation (always done as administrator), one of the source files is opened and a search/replace is performed. Now it looks that this file does not inherit the parent folder permissions and becomes non-accessible to ther users than the administrator. Since other files in the package seems to inherit the permissions, i must be doing something wrong somewhere.

What exactly are you doing? It's hard to guess without a script. Maybe you are opening the file with append mode?
