winamp doesn't see mp3 player connected

I did a search here on mp3 device but couldn't find my problem, it seems like it would be a common one tho so not sure why it's not showing up in a search. I have winamp 5.11 pro and it sees all my other devices, hard drives on my computer, but not my mp3 player. microsoft player sees my mp3 player no prob, but not winamp. Winamp pro does write to your mp3 player doesn't it?

Winamp probably isn't going to see your media player. Though the iPod and Nomad are supported though seperate plug-ins. If the device mounts its self as a drive in Windows you can use a generic plug-in like gUSB.

It won't show in the ML unless it is an iPood and you have the ml_ipod plugin. For other MP3 players you can use the gUSB plug-in which will make all removable drives appear under devices in the Media Library.

Correction: All drives will appear under the devices list and you browse files like Windows Explorer

[EDIT] Darn, too slow.
