L shortcut key take me to my music folder?

Everytime i open winamp, i press L shortcut, it takes me to winamps root folder. and then i have to go find my music folder every time. this is just really annoying. is there a way i can designate what folder to open up everytime? this would save me so much ridiculous hassle.

As long as you select something and click the "Open" button (ie. it won't remember if you drag+drop entries then click Close/Cancel), and as long as you close Winamp properly, then Winamp should remember the previously selected Open/Add Folder path.

Make sure the folder is being written to the cwd= entry in winamp.ini

Also confirm that other settings changes are being saved to winamp.ini

Reasons for why they might not be saved...

Winamp isn't exiting properly when you close it
(usual cause for this is some dodgy 3rd-party plugin... installed any perhaps?)

Winamp.ini and possibly other files in the Winamp dir have the read-only attribute and therefore cannot be written to.

Some external cleanup app (eg. Window Washer) is deleting winamp.ini and therefore Winamp's settings always return to the defaults.
