Running Shoutcast on a Apache Server

Heya all, i'm new to Shoutcast and i'm interested in streaming music using it. I am wondering if a free Apache server is capable of streaming MP3's with Shoutcast. My brother is running the server and is hosting a website for me currently and it would be most excellent if I could use this server without an exspensive dedicated server.

I would appreciate your help
