what type of file are you playing?
what version of winamp are you using?
Are you using some modern skin?
have you installed any plugins...
system specs (Operationg system, ram,etc)

do you get a crash report? click more info...
appname:winamp appver: ? modname: ???.dll
offset.....

We would like to know this if you do get a crash

Darn this; hoped it would work today; it doesn't .. The first time I tried it played like 2 seconds though..

The type of file = mp3
Version of winamp = Winamp 5.094
Skin = Just a standard skin
Plugins = Yes; the plugin that allows you to show your song on msn
System specs = 2.00 GHz ; ram 256 mb

I don't get a crash report and don't know where to find appname or modname :P

It's very weird as things just worked fine 2 days ago..
Maybe uninstalling & reinstalling works; but will I lose my playlists; local media etc then?
Thxn for helping me out on this one

Try without any 3rd-party plugins at first, and let us know how it goes.

If the problem persists, please read this first.
