Sound?
I dunno what's wrong with my winamp player. I was listening to it yesterday, then it just quit. It kept playing, but I wasn't getting any sound. I thought it was my speakers, but RealOne player and Windows Media Player work just fine. Do you know what's wrong? *sorry, i'm a newb ^^;* Thank u!

No sound, skippy/choppy/crackly playback, high VM usage, etc.

i did go under the output configuration, and then under the status tab, it says "not active". does that mean anything? |

It'll say 'not active' if there's no music playing in winamp at the time, or if you changed from eg. waveOut to DirectSound in the middle of a track (Winamp will only switch to the newly hi-lighted Output plugin when playback is restarted or when the next track starts).
Make sure the volume slider in the main Winamp window isn't on zero. Likewise for the preamp slider in the EQ |
