Sudden increase volume :-((

This problem came out of nowhere, or so it seems...
When i'm playing anything music(mp3,ogg,radio stream,..etc.) with Winamp(5.12) suddenly after few minutes(independently of others running programs or my work with pc..) increase volume(winamp, no system volume) circa up to 200% .. it is horrible! and uncomfortable..
I have to push anything button on Winamp for decrease volume to previous level(or let Winamp jump to next song)..

I tried installing the older WinAmp 5.1 over my newest version (5.12), but this didn't help, reinstall too ..

When i use wmp or itunes all is right..i don't have this problem..

I have Sound blaster Audigy 1 , drivers from insall CD,
OS: Windows XP sp2 PC: Intel Pentium 2.7GHZ, 768MB RAM,
/and i'm using Winamp already for 7 yars/

Pls. help me..winamp is my favourite player..
(and sorry for my english)

.seem.

Are you using a DSP/Effect plug-in?...
1. Winamp > Ctrl+P
2. Plug-ins > DSP/Effect
3. Select (none)

Maybe the following DirectSound config tweaks
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....26#post1212926
Close Winamp, Windows and reboot the computer after the DS tweaks.

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

If you disable (turn off) the plug-in do you still get the volume issue?
Quote:
From the DFX Support FAQ > I'm noticing volume variations.

A lot of complex processing takes place during the playback of a song with DFX enhancement. In early versions of DFX, there was the potential for distortion when a song passage got loud during playback. To prevent this potential distortion, the Dynamic Boost component was made more "intelligent" in DFX 4 and higher.

This may provide an explanation for the volume variations some users have experienced, especially if the user has certain levels set very high. Our suggestion for alleviating the problem is to not maximize any of the effects settings. Also, disabling either the Hyperbass or Dynamic Boost component has reportedly reduced the problem for some users.

We're continually working to improve our DSP processing algorithms to give users the best possible sound.
Third party plug-ins are not supported at Winamp Forums. If this is a plug-in related issue, please contact the developer of the plug-in.
