ASX Stream in Winamp

Hi,

Is it possible to play an ASX-stream with Winamp? Sometimes I can play this stream and sometimes it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? I've installed the full free version of Winamp, at classic skin mode.

You need to install Playlist Loader. Discussion here. Hope this helps, jmat

and asx is just a playlist format by MS and isn't a stream

Just to explain a bit further ('cos I'm like that) . . .

The Playlist Loader plugin is only required to actually provide support for loading asx-based playlists. It isn't required to actually play the streams linked to in said playlists.

If you right-click your asx link above, save the asx playlist to your hard drive, and then open it in Notepad, you'll see these two entries:

<ref href="http://livemedia2.omroep.nl/radio3-breed"/>

You can add any of these url's to the Winamp playlist (even if Playlist Loader isn't installed)
and they'll all play ok, as long as you didn't uncheck support for WMA Playback in the Winamp Full installer options.
