Winamp 5.12 crashes

Hello!

I use the Winamp 5.12 and get an error message while loading a mp3-file with the char "ö" in the filename. I make a screenshot of the error message. With older versions I had no problems. What is the problem?

Best regards

Mario

Do you have the German language pack installed, maybe?
Any other 3rd-party plugins/skins?

If it's indeed the German language file to blame, see the following thread:

(also see JonnyMac's post a bit further down)

I switch from "Winamp Modern Deutsch" to "Winamp Modern", the original skin, but it was the same error. I have no others plugins/skins installed.

Best regards

It is the language pack Deutsche Sprachdatei v14 (by Borg Number One) that is the problem and not the skin. In you case, it appears to be a compatibility issue with Unicode/international characters and the language pack. If you are using the language pack shown above, try the alternate language pack from the link that siebe83 provided. Or, go to General Preferences in Winamp and select a different language pack.
