Query re. Skins on ALL windows
I am not a techy - I use Winamp (5.12) for MP3 playback, Internet Radio and MPEG viewing.
I use the Winamp classic skin - I wish to change but when I select a new skin only 2 of the available 5 open windows change - the remainder stay at the Winamp Classic skin. I have tried closing them from view, selecting a new skin , and reopening the other windows to no avail - they remain on Winamp Classic skin. Visualization Playlist Editor Media Library Station Info Any ideas? |

Could be that the new skins are incomplete.
Winamp will revert to the old default skin for any of the parts that are missing in the new one. Can you provide names and links for the skins you can't load. I've attatched a classic skin you can download, do you get the same problem with this one. UJ |

Steel_this_amp.sz
Technics_SC-EH790EP-S_V10.sz This is the wrong file extention(.sz) it should be .wsz. Looks like you have something wrong with the downloads. I seem to remember there is some problem with Internet Explorer and .wsz skins. I'll take a look for it and post back if I can find it. Did you try the one I attatched, did that also download with the .sz extention ?? I found the skins folder and double-clicked the ".wsz" file.
After asking if I was sure, it appeared to install correctly, There are a couple that don't - also there is an option in "modern skins" somewhere that you tick to say apply skin to ALL windows...... Having solved it, I found I reverted to the one I was used-to as it seemed to suit me better. The newer ones look great - until you come to use them and instead of a nice clear text or label, its a funny-shaped button. I will browse the world of skins until I find another one I like! So - from now on I am downloading ".sz" or ".wsz" files and not whole folder/directories of .bmp files etc? Actually - I looked at 5 or 6 on the Winamp download pages and they were ALL ".sz" files. Not a problem as long as I know! Thanks for the replies! |
