when i go to open a file or add files to playlist to winamp in windows m.e. it has an annoying menu on the left called "look in". it has history, desktop, my computer and network. i want to take this very annoying thing off
anybody know how?

You can't. Well it may be possible with some tweaking program.

That is a windows thing, but since I am such a nice guy I am going to tell you how to kill it.


First (if you don't have it already) get TweakUI 1.33. You can get it here. I know it says NT, but it still works. Follow the instructions and install it.


Now open the Windows Control Panel and open TweakUI. Select the Open tab. In the "Places Bar" box select "Hide places bar" and hit OK. A restart/log-off might be required.

Though, since you can customize it I used mine to point to my common Media folders.
