Fear I had, possible security risk, I hope not
I read that 5.13 was coming out to fix stuff, and I got to thinking. If a user has a full version of Winamp installed, that has a flaw, say 5.x, and they install a fixed lite version on top, 5.x+.01, is there a chance the user may still be at risk? In other words, an old insecure file that is part of full but not part of lite stays active and out of date?
Or is this already checked for and does the new lite install know to get rid of bad files from the old full install? Thanks much. |

Only in_mp3.dll was updated, so lite or full it's the same plugin. Installing lite over full may remove full components.
