I have tryed to rip an old CD of mine for personal usage but when i try to do this winamp just says: "CD Drive currently in use." OR "Error ripping track #1: Can't open destination file Aborting." And i have tryed to rip different tracks and different encoders with the same result.
If i try other ripping software they work no problems at all. And this didnt happend with builds 440 or older.

Maybe your CD has scratches. Winamp doesn't support paranoia or secure ripp like other rippers.

It'S the only idea, I have. I guess there were no changes in the ripping module since build 440, but I'm not sure.

Oh Bugger...

Yup there is few scratches on this CD but i didnt think that it would cause the problem. Never had any problems playing it any where... oh well, i think i just have to make .wav files from the tracks and encode those.

You should try another ripper, eg. EAC try a secure ripp.

If the CD ripper is not able to read the whole track, then you get errors, as I said before, Winamp doesn't support secure ripp, so you should try another ripper to be sure, that the problem is related to Winamp.

Yup, i tryed with EAC and it ripped the tracks without problem same as some other ripping software. It's just that i've used the winamp's HE-AAC (high bitrate) encoder and can't find any other rippers to use that too.

You could ripp .wav containers with EAC and use Nero, the trial version has a demo of the HE-AAC encoder. Just encode your files with nero.

Or use EAC with dimzon's frontend for Winamp's AAC encoder (enc_aacPlus, not BeHappy), the biggest downside is that it doesn't do any tagging.
