winamp deleted all my ipod music

i just installed my new winamp. and it freaking deleted all the music off my ipod apart from a playlist. what the hell???

update: all the music is still on the ipod but it wont show up in winamp or itunes. itunes told me to restore factory settings because it couldnt read the ipod. any help?
