Can't even run 5.2

I tried installing 5.2, but get a windows error each time I try to run it.

I gave up and have gone back to 5.1, but I don't know how long I can put up with the update messages. That and the fact that it maxes out my CPU and crashes every couple of days.

I'm sure Winamp used to be stable and simple - I'm rapidly going off it...

You should post the error message, otherwise nobody can help you.

You can turn of the update notification in Preferences -> General Preferences.
